The Krestovskii Island is famous for its antique mansions, parks and ponds. The owner of the new-built house had a clear idea of what his home should look like. The apartment focus is the living-room with a huge bay-window overlooking a park. It is a private rest area for the owner, and the only leather armchair proves this supposition. Sliding glass partitions separate the living-room from the hall, the kitchen and the dining-room. Absence of thresholds helps take the space as a single whole. Texture wall-paper and light colours of the walls make the interior comfortable and warm. Wooden furniture in the study and in the dining-room, the "Rolf Benz" sofas and armchairs in the living-room have been brought from Germany . A special feature in the hall is a shelving unit with a collection of rare books and an antique photo-camera. A family relic - a big wooden chest - has also been brought from Germany and sits in the hall decorating the latter.
