This pompous seven- storeyed building dates back to 1929-1930 when headquarters of an Italian bank was located there. Its planning is perfect for the hotel, so when Adam D. Tihany started its renovation, no serious reconstruction was needed. The designer turned the hotel into "the universe vertical": the ground floor is "hell", then goes "purgatory", and "heaven" is on the top. Red and black are the main colors in the first area; the entrance is "defended" with the statues of Samurais; between them there is a table with apples. Entering the hotel you see your back - on a liquid-crystalline display. Totally different atmosphere is in the "purgatory". Its light colors and furniture style come from the 1940s. "Heaven" is on the seventh floor in the spacious "super de luxe " with 70 square metres terrace and jacuzzi .
