It used to be all pulp and paper mill in the building. Now, after the restoration, there is a huge complex of offices, shops, beauty salons and entertainment center. Kivilaine , a producer of tanning equipment, set up a new office and a subsidiary - the tan salon Paike . Prior to work at the new place, a substantial reconstruction had to be done. All the designers' actions had to be agreed upon with the Department of Historical Monuments' Preservation, for the building, as an architecture monument, is under State protection. That is why it was decided to preserve the original look of the walls. Bright colors, lustrous and dim surfaces, bring cheerful notes into the historical room, help create working environment in the office and develop the spirit of the tropics in the tan salon. Inside partitions made of dim glass were drafted by designers. Daylight gets into the rooms easily through big windows. Metal lamps fixed on the tracks along the walls were provided by the " Licht " shop by the "Electrum Trading" catalogue. Office furniture is of Estonian manufacture.
